Myoko Snowsports a part of Snow Resort Link (SRL).

SRL is one of the premier providers of International Snowsports services, Hotel and Hospitality services and English language experiences in Japan, and a leader in creating exceptional guest experiences. We pride ourselves in the quality of the service we provide ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience while staying in Myoko.

Step 2. After we have reviewed your application, you will receive an email confirming whether or not you are successful in progressing to an online video interview.

Step 3. After your interview, we will let you know if you got the job! If selected, we will reach out for the information needed to set up your contract.

Step 4. When your contract offer is sent, you will have one week to let us know if you would like to accept it.

Step 5. After signing your contract, we will send through more information that you will need prior to arriving, including any relevant visa details.

When are applications open?

Our application portal will open from early May!

We will begin reviewing applications from late May through until October (or until positions are filled).

Do I need a visa? (International Applications)

YES! You will need a valid Japanese working visa to be employed with us.

Please check whether you are eligible to apply for your own Working Holiday Visa to Japan (all job roles).

If not, you will need a sponsored visa. We will contact you to confirm which type of sponsored visa you may be eligible for based on your experience and qualifications, and how to apply

Do you provide staff accommodation?

Yes, we provide subsidised housing for all our team members. Our staff accommodations are exclusive to SRL employees, offering a great way to connect with your colleagues in shared living spaces and communal kitchens.

Our housing is situated within a 10 to 30-minute walk of main Akakura town, and rooms primarily consist of shared doubles, alongside a few larger rooms designed for three.

What are the season dates?

Our season typically begins from early December and continues to mid/ late March.

For highly qualified/ experienced instructors, a longer contract until mid April may be available.

Is it possible to do a shorter season?

Depending on your role, a shorter season may be possible (E.g. if you have university/study commitments). Please chat with us during your interview to discuss this possibility.

I am under 20, can I apply?

Positions are primarily offered to applicants who are 20 years and over.

We have a limited number of positions available for those aged 18-19 that have exceptional experience, qualifications and aptitude.

Available Positions

As an Experienced Snowsports Instructor, you are crucial to delivering the premium on-snow experiences Myoko Snowsports is known for. Leading private lessons and group programs across our Snowsports bases with people of all ages and abilities, you will tailor every session to the guest’s goals – from their first time on snow to our famous Japanese powder.

As a seasoned professional, we expect you to uphold our highest service standards, act as a role model for our newer or junior instructors and share your professional industry knowledge. Your ultimate goal is to ensure every guest leaves inspired, confident, and saying, “Wow, that was an incredible experience!”

Required Experience:

  • Recognised Ski or Snowboard Instructor Certification (minimum Level 1)
  • Minimum 2 full-time seasons instructing experience
  • Passion for creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences for guests of all ages and abilities
  • Exceptional work ethic and positive attitude in all conditions

Highly Desirable:

  • Dual certification (ski and snowboard)
  • Relevant outdoor or first aid certificates
  • AST (Avalanche Skills Training) Level 1 or above

Kickstart your instructing career by helping us deliver the unforgettable snowsports experiences Myoko Snowsports is renowned for. You will bring your energy and passion to the slopes, working directly with guests to build their confidence in a fun, safe and supportive learning environment across our snowsports school bases.

To set you up for success, you will begin the season shadowing our senior instructors to develop your teaching techniques and group management. Once ready, you will lead private lessons and group programs with guests of all ages. 

You will focus on guiding beginners through their first turns and helping developing riders refine their skills, leaving them with unforgettable memories and a newfound confidence on the snow.

Required Experience:

  • Recognised Ski or Snowboard Instructor Certification (minimum Level 1)
  • No instructing experience OR  1 full-time season instructing
  • Passion for creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences for guests of all ages
  • Experience in customer service or guest facing role
  • Exceptional work ethic and positive attitude in all conditions

Highly Desirable:

  • Dual certification (ski and snowboard)
  • Relevant outdoor or first aid certificates
  • Direct experience coaching or teaching children in other relevant settings

As a Driving Team Member, you are the crucial link connecting guests and staff across our Myoko Snowsports bases and the wider Myoko area. You will be responsible for providing friendly and professional service when operating cars, vans and snowmobiles. Your top priority is safety, ensuring timely and smooth transport in all winter conditions.

A unique aspect of this role is using our snowmobiles to shuttle guests on the mountain during their lessons. This exciting, on-snow transport is always a massive hit and adds an exciting memorable element to guests’ holiday experience.

You will also be responsible for keeping all vehicles pristine, well-maintained, and snow-free. When not behind the wheel, you will jump in to support the Akakura Village Rental Shop with guest fittings and daily tasks. Your ultimate goal is to provide a safe, seamless journey delivered with exceptional service.

Required Experience:

  • Hold a valid International Drivers License
  • Experience driving safely in snow and icy conditions
  • Experience in customer service or guest facing role

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience driving snowmobiles
  • Previous experience in a rental outlet
  • Mechanical knowledge

As a Childcare Assistant, you are essential to providing families with a stress-free holiday. By caring for our youngest guests (aged 6 months to 3 years), you give parents the peace of mind to fully enjoy their time in Myoko.

You will create a warm, safe and engaging space filled with indoor crafts, games, and outdoor play. Armed with boundless patience and a positive attitude, you will reassure parents and help children settle comfortably into a new environment. Your ultimate goal is to ensure every child feels supported, happy, and has a genuinely fantastic day while in our care.

Required Experience:

  • Experience working with children aged 0-3 years in an approved early learning service
  • Enthusiastic, team-oriented and flexible in responding to day-to-day needs
  • Passion for creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences

Highly Desirable: 

  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates 
  • A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching
  • Communicate effectively and show initiative in a collaborative learning environment

As the welcoming face of Myoko Snowsports, you will be the primary contact for our guests, providing information about our products and services. Operating across our four front desk locations, you will seamlessly handle enquiries, offer expert local knowledge and ensure a premium experience from arrival to departure.

You play a crucial role in our daily operations, coordinating closely with the Snowsports and Rentals teams to manage lessons and rental services. Armed with a positive, problem-solving attitude, you will tackle any guest challenges efficiently. 

Whether you are pointing out the must-visit spots in town or reassuring a nervous first-timer, your goal is to make sure every guest feels exceptionally supported and ready for their snow holiday in Myoko.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in front desk or customer service roles
  • Proficiency in basic office software (email, spreadsheets, Word)
  • Strong communication in person and over phone and email
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience working on the front desk at a Snowsports school/ rental shop
  • Experience within the Snowsports industry
  • Ability to speak Japanese at a conversational level

As a Rentals team member, you play a vital role as the first point of contact for many of our guests, whether they are visiting for the first time or returning for another amazing holiday. Using your equipment expertise, you will accurately fit guests with gear tailored to their abilities and goals. 

You will collaborate seamlessly with the Front Desk team to share local knowledge and ensure guests have all the information they need. When not directly assisting customers, you will keep operations running like clockwork by managing equipment returns, clearing snow and maintaining a highly organised, welcoming shop. 

Whether you are introducing ski boots to a first timer or helping a seasoned rider choose the perfect board for a powder day, our goal is to make sure every guest leaves the shop feeling confident, comfortable and ready for an amazing day on the slopes!

Required Experience:

  • Experience in customer service or guest facing roles
  • Previous experience in Snowsports industry or strong ski/ snowboard ability

Highly Desirable: 

  • Previous experience in a rental outlet
  • Vast knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment
  • Experience in ski/ snowboard maintenance (waxing and tuning)

As a Workshop Team Member, you are the backbone of our premium on-snow experience, ensuring every piece of equipment performs flawlessly. Based primarily in our workshop, you will execute essential maintenance including waxing, edge tuning and repairs on both our rental fleet and guests’ personal gear.

As equipment quality directly impacts safety and fun, your meticulous attention to detail is crucial. You will maintain a clean, organised workspace and during busy times, seamlessly step out onto the shop floor to support the Rentals team. 

Whether you are perfecting a fresh tune in the evening or jumping in to help with a morning rush, your proactive teamwork ensures operations run smoothly and our guests are always ready to ride.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum one season workshop experience

Highly Desirable: 

  • Previous experience in a rental outlet
  • Ability to tune and wax equipment by hand
  • Previous experience working in a small team

As a Retail Team Member, you play an important role in creating a welcoming and engaging in-store experience for our guests. Working within our Akakura Village Shop, you will assist guests in selecting the right retail item to ensure they leave with products that fits their needs.

You will work directly with guests, offering friendly and knowledgeable advice on a range of retail products. Alongside this, you will assist with restocking and maintaining an organised and visually appealing shop. 

Retail team members will also support the rentals operation when required, assisting with rental contracts, rental fittings and general shop tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all guests. You will work closely with our shops teams to ensure every guest leaves the shop feeling confident and fully equipped for an incredible day on the mountain.

Required Experience:

  • Have previously worked in a Snowsports retail outlet
  • Experience in customer service or guest facing role

Highly Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a rental outlet 
  • Experience handling warranty exchanges/ refunds
