Freeride World Tour Ski Coaching

You will meet your coach at 8:15 at the front desk to get packs and discuss a plan.
Can request an 8am start too if they have First-Class passes.

Your FWT Coach will guide you in riding the fun freeride terrain and in the use of safety transceiver, pack, shovel and probe as well as route selection, snow-pack assessment and skiing/snowboarding technique.

Unlike traditional programs with fixed dates, our FWT Coaching sessions are run exclusively as private, on-demand lessons. We do not run consistent group sessions; instead, we tailor the timing and coaching to your specific schedule and goals. This ensures you get 1-on-1 (or private group) focus whenever you are ready to ride.

The coaching runs throughout Arai Snow Resort, and our coach will review the open terrain and run in the appropriate areas.

A valid Arai Snow Resort lift pass is required for all participants. Lift tickets are not included in the lesson cost but are available for purchase at the resort.

FWT Coaching can be booked for up to 4 participants. If sharing a program all participants should be of a similar ability level. All coaching programs are a fixed cost – there is no additional fee for more than one person.

We only recommend this if all children are aged 12 or over and all family members are of a similar ability level of high-intermediate or upward.

Yes. All our guides and instructors are either native or fluent in English and all lessons are run in English. We have a large number of instructors from around the world, as well as from Japan.

If you have a request for a private lesson in another language (Korean, Dutch, Spanish, French, Danish, Czech) please check with us for availability.

If you are interested in programs run in Japanese please let our reservations team know and they can recommend another local Japanese snowsports school to you.
